The best way to learn a construction trade is through apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with formal classroom and hands-on instruction. Apprentices earn while they learn.

Alaska Works can help applicants gain entry into Alaska’s construction trade apprenticeships through our Apprenticeship Outreach program.

Apprenticeship Outreach can provide:

• Information on construction trades
• Referral to apprenticeship
• Assistance gathering documents
• Interview skills
• Referral to community resource agencies
• Apprenticeship Preparation
