Eligibility Information

The AWAY program is open to young men and women who are between the ages of 16-24 who reside throughout the state of Alaska.

Within this population, the AWAY program serves a wide range of individuals, such as in-school and out-of-school youth, youth who are employed or unemployed, youth ex-offenders, and other underrepresented populations (i.e., women, people of color, and persons with disabilities), and other youth with barriers to employment including foster youth, parenting youth, and homeless youth.
