Caden had a clear vision for his future while still in high school—he wanted a successful career in the skilled trades. Intrigued by the possibilities   within the electrical field, he knew that hands-on work and a strong foundation in math were crucial to his goals. In 2021, while still in high school, Caden took a  significant step forward by completing the Alaska Works Electrical Wiring Training. This opportunity allowed him to learn about the IBEW and explore the trade that fascinated him. His interest in circuits, electricity, and the complexities of the job only deepened with this experience.

Caden’s instructor noticed his dedication and recognized that, with time and experience, he would excel in the trade. Fast forward to 2024, Caden graduated from high school, applied for the wireman apprenticeship, and was successfully accepted. Today, he is a first-year Inside Wireman Apprentice, eager to continue building his skills and knowledge in the field. Reflecting on his journey, Caden credits the training with providing him with essential skills and confidence, paving the way for him to pursue an apprenticeship and embark on a fulfilling career in the electrical industry.
